Bajaj Auto has launched the Pulsar N160 S and the higher-spec Pulsar N160 SS side by side, introducing a heavily upgraded platform to the 160cc streetfighter segment. Both models share an all-new 164.5cc, 4-valve, oil-cooled engine producing 18.5 PS and 14.4 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an Electronic Throttle Body (ETB), enabling four distinct riding modes—Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-Road—as well as low-speed Crawl Technology. Both models also feature the same hardware upgrades, including 37 mm gold-finished upside-down (USD) front forks, a rear monoshock, and a 300 mm front disc brake.
Where the two models differ is in their technology and safety features:
Pulsar N160 S: The standard upgraded variant comes with single-channel ABS and a 5-inch digital LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
Pulsar N160 SS: The flagship variant adds dual-channel ABS, a traction control system, adjustable clutch and brake levers, and a 5-inch color TFT display with full Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It also introduces segment-first Google Maps mirroring.
