The Royal Enfield Bear 650 2026 is a motorcycle that pays homage to the scramblers of the 1960s, drawing inspiration from Eddie Mulder's victory at the 1960 Big Bear Run on a Royal Enfield. Built on the brand's popular 650cc parallel-twin platform, the Bear 650 distinguishes itself with a scrambler-specific design and upgraded components. It features a strengthened double-cradle frame, an all-new subframe, and a higher seat height of 830mm compared to its siblings. The bike's styling is characterized by its kicked-up rear loop, a scrambler-style bench seat, and chunky, dual-purpose MRF Nylorex tires on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheel setup.
Powering the Bear 650 is the familiar 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine, which has been retuned to deliver an 8% increase in peak torque, now at 56.5 Nm at 5,150 rpm, while maintaining a peak power output of 47 bhp. This is achieved with a new 2-into-1 exhaust system that also reduces weight and mass. The bike's suspension is upgraded to a Showa-sourced setup, with 43mm upside-down forks at the front and twin shocks at the rear, offering more travel than the Interceptor 650. For modern functionality, the Bear 650 is equipped with a full-color TFT Tripper Dash display with Bluetooth connectivity and Google Maps-powered navigation, as well as full LED lighting and switchable dual-channel ABS.
