The newly released Honda HooRide 125 (globally recognized as the HRD 125) is an aggressive, adventure-style crossover scooter developed under the Wuyang-Honda joint venture. Breaking away from traditional, conservative commuter designs, the HRD 125 embraces a rugged, "mechanical aesthetic" inspired by the iconic Africa Twin dual-sport motorcycle, complete with a sharp front beak, twin-pod LED headlights, C-shaped DRLs, and a two-position adjustable windscreen. Beneath its tough exterior beats the highly efficient 124.7cc liquid-cooled eSP+ engine borrowed from the PCX 125, pumping out 11 horsepower and 11.7 Nm of torque while delivering an impressive claimed fuel efficiency of up to 47.17 km/L.
What truly sets this mini-ADV scooter apart is its premium tech suite—features rarely seen in the 125cc segment—including a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, traction control, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a dedicated handlebar mounting bar that can even sync up with DJI action cameras. Highly practical for daily grinds, it pairs a flat step-through floorboard with clever packaging; the 8.2-liter fuel tank is tucked inside the floor, freeing up enough underseat storage to fit two half-face helmets.
