Yamaha has officially entered the performance electric scooter market with the unveiling of the Aerox-E, an electric reinterpretation that carries forward the sporty DNA of its popular petrol-powered sibling. Positioned as a premium EV, the Aerox-E 2026 is built around a powerful 9.4 kW electric motor that delivers a punchy 48 Nm of peak torque. This is paired with a 3 kWh dual-battery system, utilizing high-energy cells that offer a certified range of 106 km on a full charge. The batteries are detachable, promoting flexible charging options for home and workplace convenience. To enhance the riding experience, it features three dynamic modes—Eco, Standard, and Power—along with a 'Boost' function for rapid bursts of acceleration, and even a reverse assist mode. Visually, it maintains the Aerox's aggressive stance and twin-LED headlamp design, but integrates modern tech like a five-inch TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and single-channel ABS with traction control for enhanced safety.
