The newly unveiled 2027 Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Explorer represents a major step forward in long-distance touring and adventure motorcycle technology. It is powered by an updated 1,160cc T-Plane triple-cylinder engine producing 158 PS, an increase of 8 PS over its predecessor, and 130 Nm of torque. Revised gear ratios improve low-speed control, reducing the crawling speed by 6 km/h for smoother maneuvering in tight spaces.
Designed for long-distance journeys, the GT Explorer retains its generous 30-liter fuel tank, lower engine crash bars, and standard Blind Spot Monitoring and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Rider comfort and accessibility are further enhanced by the new SHOWA EERA Heightflex semi-active suspension, which automatically lowers the seat height by 30 mm when the motorcycle comes to a stop.
The technology upgrades are equally significant. The motorcycle features a 7-inch HD touchscreen dashboard with built-in wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a fan-cooled smartphone compartment with USB-C charging, and front and rear radar systems supporting Adaptive Cruise Control and Emergency Brake Assist.
